I pray that ________ would be a godly (wo)man pursuing a righteous life—a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy, running hard and fast in the faith, seizing the eternal life, the life she (he) was called to.
Father, please teach ________ to realize the brevity of life, so that she (he) may grow in wisdom.
Father, as ________ chooses the life of the Spirit, let her (him) make sure that she (he) doesn’t just hold it as an idea in her (his) head or a sentiment in her (his) heart, but work out its implications in every detail of her (his) life.
Father, please provide friendships for ________ that refresh her (his) soul.
(The first of every month will be a prayer for the mother of my children…me!)
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Father, I want to increase Your joy by being a child that walks in truth. Please help me model this to my children.
Father God, help ________ to know for sure that she (he) is fully adopted as your own child. Let the Spirit of your Son within her (him) cry out to You, “Papa! Father!” Let that privilege of intimate conversation with you, God, make it plain to ________ that she (he) is not a slave, but a child. And if she (he) is a child of yours, then also an heir, with complete access to an inheritance. She (He) is a child of the King!
