I know, dear God, that you care nothing for the surface—you want us, our true selves—and so I ask that ________ will give from the heart, honestly and happily.
Father, I pray that ________ will be able to lie down and sleep in peace knowing that You alone, O Lord, will keep her (him) safe and secure.
Lord, help ________ make and keep a firm commitment about serving You. Let her (him) make a stand for herself (himself) and her (his) family about choosing to worship You only.
Lord, let _______ choose each day to love You, to listen to Your voice and hold fast to You. This is the key to her (his) life.
Father, help ________ see and comprehend what marvelous love You have extended to her (him) that she (he) would be called a child of God!
Lord, I ask that ________ would learn to be direct with You in asking for what she (he) needs. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Jesus, at just the right time, please comfort ________ with your words, “Don’t let this throw you. You trust God, don’t you? Trust me.”
Lord, I pray that ________ will make it her (his) aim and ambition to cheerfully please You regardless of her (his) conditions.
Master, I pray that You will help ________ to be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense; to forgive as quickly and completely as You have forgiven her (him). And regardless of what else she (he) puts on, to wear love. It’s her (his) basic, all-purpose garment that she (he) should never be without.
Lord, You have chosen ________ for a new life of love. I pray that she (he) will dress in the wardrobe You have picked out for her (him): compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.
