Daily Prayer from Ephesians 6:5-8

I pray that ________ would respectfully obey her (his) earthly masters but always with an eye to obeying the real master, Christ. Lord, help ________ to not just do what she (he) has to do to get by, but to work heartily, as Christ's servant doing what God wants her (him) to do. And to work with a smile on her (his) face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, she (he) really is serving God. Good work will get her (him) good pay from the Master. Ephesians 6:5-8

Daily Prayer from I Peter 4:1-2

Since Jesus went through everything ________ is going through and more, Lord God, please help her (him) learn to think like Jesus. To think of her (his) sufferings as a weaning from the old sinful habit of always expecting to get her (his) own way. Then she (he) will be able to live out her (his) days free to pursue what you want, instead of being tyrannized by what she (he) wants. I Peter 4:1-2

Daily Prayer from Lamentations 3:25-33

Lord, though I know it will be hard, let ________ experience this truth: You prove to be good to the (wo)man who passionately waits, to the (wo)man who diligently seeks. It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It's a good thing when you're young to stick it out through the hard times. When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear. Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The 'worst' is never the worst. Why? Because the Master won't ever walk out and fail to return. Lamentations 3:25-33 MSG
