Lord, help ________ to not give sin a vote in the way she (he) conducts her (his) life; to not give it the time of day; to not even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Let her throw herself (himself) wholeheartedly and full-time into God’s way of doing things, remembering she (he) has been raised from the dead. She (He) doesn’t have to live under that old tyranny any longer, but can live in the freedom of God.
Oh, that you would bless ________ and enlarge her (his) territory! Let your hand be with her (him), and keep ________ from harm so that she (he) will be free from pain. God, grant this request.
Father in heaven, let the peace of Christ keep ________ in tune with others; in step with others instead of going off and doing her(his) own thing. And let her (him) cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ have the run of her (his) heart, giving it plenty of room in her (his) life. Let her (him) instruct and direct others using good common sense.
